ES as ES/OS Server

dave_am Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello, We have been working with PCS7 and had an ES, OS Server, and OS Client configuration up and running. The questions is, can I use the ES as a OS Serveras well??? I want to be able to see in the client's screen two buttons, the images from the original OS Server and the ones to be created on the ES/OS Server, as well. From what we have tried out so far (the same procedure, for the original project) has not worked. Any advice?

Engineering Station is OS too or OS is separate station? which operating system and PCS7 version are you using? dave_am ... Did you already tryed to store both image on same Server (too keep application identical) and look for PC NAME to display the image you need, (using dinamic dialog, script or customized object?? But what we are curious about is wether we can use a configuration wherewe havean ES that works as OS Server as well, connected with a client. We have followed the OS Server configuration (trying to configure the ES as a OS Server), but when youhaveto give a path for the data to be stored in the server, it doesn't allow you to save it on the same computer (the ES). Thanks for the help.
