Hi there,

Due to the insane prices of the TP177B, i've to upgrade our project to the KTP400.

Now, as far i can understand, i must use the Proxy Device function of the TIA Portal to "connect" an old (4.3) SCOUT project to a new KTP 400.

Now, regarding the SCOUT side i've everything i need (just the .mcp file from the u7 folder of the SCOUT project).

The problem is that if i try to initialize the Proxy Device with my .mcp file nothing happen.
With "nothing" i mean "nothing". I select the .mcp file, press "open", the window closes and there's no alarms or information about the operation (even in the bottom right bar).

I tried to upgrade my v4.3 scout project to the v5.3 just to check if the v4.3 was incompatible, but even with the "new" mcp file the situation is the same.

Maybe there's something "extra" to do that is not written in the manual?

have you installed Scout TIA also?
The proxy only work with installed compatible Scout TIA .

You use the complete project folder for the proxy, not only the single mcp file?

Hi,

you only need step 4 and 5 

you must access the mcp in the project folder stuctur.

Not copy or move the mcp outside the project folder and use it, mcp only a part of the project not the complete project

I tried to do it from the project folder but it doesn't work...
For an error i selected the s7p and it worked.
Maybe it's a problem of my installation?
