Greetings,

We have several new machines from China with Siemens Smart HMIs. (Smart 700IE V3)  Using WinCCFlexible Smart V3.2  I can load the projects but the WinCC software interface is Chinese.

To install WinCC I had to set the system Locale to China. When I change the Locale back to US interface is still in Chinese.

I need a working English version to update the HMIs.  Please see the attachment.

I guess WinCC flexible Smart is only available in Chinese.

It would be an option to use your smartphone for translating. e.g. the google translation app provides the possibility to translate pictures/photos.

It is unthinkable that Siemens would make a Chinese only version of software for screens that are destined for the world market.  I just can't imagine that being a good business decision. There are going to be lots of angry people out there who expect more from a major company like Siemens,  I am not alone when I say next time I will opt for Omron or even Weintek.

Siemens HMI Smart is a product for chinese market and the engineering software is only available in Chinese.

Other HMIs like MP, TP, OP are for the world market and the engineering system is available with several languages.

 But the Chinese domestic market IS the world market so it cannot be viewed as isolated.

 Any update on this.  I am still in need of a WinCC than can update the Smart Line 700 IE V3 HMIs.   Our factory is full of these and the spelling/grammer used in programming is just awful.  I really need to be able to fix this.
