It's difficult to help without seeing your program. You offer no details about the messages, which blocks can not be used. There is no universal methode to convert every old program to a new Logo controller,

I did raise this with my employers but they aren't happy with me sharing proprietorial code online.

I know the problem with internal codes from companies, i also cannot offer programs i have written for my company. Try to upload some pictures with detailled error messages without seeing any code, maybe this is enough to help. If not, then you must do the work for yourself, sorry.

When I open the original software, using LOGO V8.3, when I open the hardware tab, the only options I get are 0BA4 Standard and 0BA5 Standard. The rest are greyed out.

I think I'm going to have to contact local Siemens shop and see what alternative LOGO's I can use.

If i remember correct, then you also can select a greyed-out type to convert the program. In this case you get detailled messages, which code can not be converted. Maybe this will help you.

When I try to click on greyed out options I get either of the following messages:

B002/1 : Input Inversion not supported.

or

LOGO 8.3 Softkey parameter width is not suitable
