new-to-me machine wont start

tubenoob Joined: 9/16/2022 Last visit: 12/12/2023 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hello Everyone, I am setting up a new holzher wood router running on Simodrive 611/Sinumerik 810D, software version 6.5. The machine was built in 2006, and was running until I disassembled it 2 months ago. After fixing some mechanical issues, I am still not able to start the machine. Currently I am getting an error code "Drives not ready for operation". The 3 phase inputs at the ER module read correctly at 420V between UVW and 240V from each to ground. The 3 phase inputs in the LT module read zero. The Profibus plugs are not corroded and seem to function correctly. Any help troubleshooting these old Siemens units is much appreciated. tubenoob Joined: 9/16/2022 Last visit: 12/12/2023 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	OK, I pulled 63 and 64 from the E/R module and the left middle LED ("Unit") is on. The MMC display is showing "700124 - Drives not ready for operation". I am trying to post pictures but so far no luck.

I am sure your machine had Machine builder menu , which I or most people cannot help for operation--you nee contact OEM Now for E/R module test : You need to see Yellow LED on and Green LED off and open the cover of DC bar, you need measuring 600VDC --that means E/R module is good. then give me feedback to make above happen on E/R , you need make jumpers Ter. 9 to Ter 48 and Ter 122 tube*** Here is a shot of MMC display:

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 9/15/2025 Posts: 4452 Rating: (402)	follow my instruction , removed all wires--connect wires /jumper by yourself Now for E/R module test : You need to see Yellow LED on and Green LED off and open the cover of DC bar, you need measuring 600VDC --that means E/R module is good. then give me feedback to make above happen on E/R , you need make jumpers Ter. 9 to Ter 48 and Ter 122--also I see NS1-NS2 already connected --keep this to make Green LED off you must jumper 63-9 , 64-9 if you doing connect but the yellow not on --your E/R module is defective tube*** The amber light will not stay on long enough for me to measure the terminals.
