PCS7-on-tour VS PCS7 System Course

They both last 10 days, and in essence they look equal. Which one is more progressive, for experienced users of Step7?

You can get it via your local Siemens contact. So the PCS 7 System Training ST-PCS7SYS is the only training available right now: https://www.sitrain-learning.siemens.com/DE/en/rw47569/SIMATIC-PCS-7-System-Course But in case I am wrong and you get to choose between attending the PCS 7 on Tour as a training or the ST-PCS7SYS, I would still recommend to you to choose the ST-PCS7SYS. Simply because as you said they are similar from the topics, but with the ST-PCS7SYS you have the advantage that there are consecutive courses offered, which build up on the ST-PCS7SYS. One for AS-Engineering and one for OS-Engineering: SIMATIC PCS 7 AS-Engineering (ST-PCS7ASE) SIMATIC PCS 7 OS-Engineering (ST-PCS7OSE)

Nowadays I don't know. The on tour book is a summary for the complete PCS7 package. The same applies for SIMATIC BATCH, there is a on tour book as well.

The thing is that I got the schedule of courses for this year from local Siemens branch office, and the fact is they offer both courses I asked about. Judging by the links I provided about the two, I couldn't recognize the real difference. I am actually saying that PCS7 on tour is not just a book, but a real training. I simply thought that someone could clarify which one is more progressive. I now understand that PCS System Course is more official, but I might be wrong.

I do not think there is a course named "PCS7 on tour" officially in siemens sitrain website. If you are looking for more advanced course, you can probably go SIMATIC PCS 7 AS-Engineering (ST-PCS7ASE) and SIMATIC PCS 7 OS-Engineering (ST-PCS7OSE) directly. If you need basic understanding first, then you can take PCS 7 System Course. In order to get certified for PCS 7 engineer, you will need to attend SIMATIC PCS 7 AS-Engineering (ST-PCS7ASE)andSIMATIC PCS 7 OS-Engineering (ST-PCS7OSE), but not a must for PCS 7 System Course.
