Is it with PCU 20 or PCU 50?

With PCU 20 you can connect USB 1.1 interface mouse & with PCu 50 you can connect mouse to port PS/2.

Please check.

 Take picture from the back of you control panel --I see you have OP032, it is possible you have MMC103--take picture I will make sure to tell you.

If you really have MMC103, the mouse will need set up--I remember --It will not Plug and Play.

If you have MMC100 I think you cannot use mouse.

I have a sinumerik 840D and I can not find any way to connect a mouse to the PCU, where should that be connected?

Should the mouse be connected to the rs232 on the front or where are the connector located?

Also how do I find out if my PCU is PCU20 or PCU 50?

 1st forget about PCU20, PCU50, they newer version, your one is MMC103, very old.

you can find # 6FC54......, and search by Google or on eBay, you will know what is it.

2nd, I see your MMC103 back --PS/2 connector the one near battery, is connected something, and 9-pin RS232--2nd COM port connected something as well. Normally in old time, there are mouse using PS/2 and com connector, I suggest you find out mouse with PS/2, then connect to PS/2--round connector near battery

Hello guys, I see this is an old topic but I would like to ask you experts , how do I set up a mouse in Sinumerik 840d with MMC103. I have 2x RS232 and PS/2 port free , I need to plug external keyboard and mouse. Keyboard only works fine in PS/2 port , mouse doesnt work at all in neither PS/2 or COM port with adapter to PS/2.  I have sourced few different keyboards and mouses with drivers. Mouse doesn't seem to work at all, installed the drivers, but still not success. I can navigate through the Windows in Service Mode with keyboard being in port PS/2 , but once I plug it in to RS232(COM to PS/2 adapter) it stops working so then I can't modify any settings.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you very much for your reply. 

I have got a mouse with drivers on floppy disk. I managed to install the drivers but they only problem is , once I plug the mouse into PS/2 port and switch my external keyboard to COM (with PS/2 adapter) it won't work on that port.
