isurya Posts: 107 Rating: (0)	Hi, We have SIEMENS SINUMERIK PCU 50 , 1.2GHz,this PCU is connected with HMI and also SIMODRIVE and PLC S7.The application for CNC control for roll grinder machine. At the moment , we have problem with MEMORY inside, there are 2 ( two ) memory cap. 256MB+512MB ( type PC133S-222-542-Z ) and both memory are broken / defect. Could you please inform me, these DEFECT MEMORY is NORMAL or NOT, I means why easily broken ? Is it correct these type MEMORY is very OLD type ? and difficult to buy in the market ? Is it possible toorder from SIEMENS ? What is the P/N for ordering ? I enclosed the picture nameplate PCU and also one of the MEMORY ( 256MB ) HOW MUCH, MAXIMUM CAPACITY of MEMORY CAN BE INSTALLED in this PCU ? Regards, INDRA Attachment PCU.JPG (384 Downloads)

TSH Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	Hello Try here:- https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=28443606&caller=SR&caller=view If you try memory not recommended by Siemens and experience trouble you may have difficulty obtaining support. It is quite possible that other memory will work OK but be aware of this. Good luck

At the moment we have problem PCU 50 on MEMORY part ( 256MB+512MB ), I tried with installed one by one but the error still the same. The first time when I switch on the POWER, the SIEMENS DISPLAY OP, show scanning / booting, looks like searching IP ADDRESS and after a few minutes no result and appear second error message : Warning : connection established....no DHCP server available. My question is, IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY THAT THE MEMORY DEFECT COULD MAKE THIS ERROR APPEAR ? I am really need your help because I am afraid if I order the new memoryand installthem but the problem still the same UNSOLVED, or maybe you have friend that familiar with this PCU50.. Is it possible to check this memory type ( PC133S ) to old notebook such as DELL ? because I have the memory notebook, looks like the same type and tried it, the result, memory error display on the notebook. Then I think these memory are DEFECT, what do you think, I I testedmemory like this ? I enclosed the picture of the error display on the SIEMENS OP. Dina Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Hi, I hope no problem in RAM. if RAM is bad u can get only black screen. As per u'r screen it seems HDD (Harddisk) is failure. Try to disable network boot in bios & reboot PCU u will get "No bootable Media found" Error.

TSH Posts: 73 Rating: (2)	Hello The photo shows the screen ofTCU which is a remote operator panel. It is trying to connect to the PCU. Try connecting a monitor to the VGA port of the PCU50 and see if you get a better idea of what is happening. Regards
