I was thinking along the same lines as your Oreca, but I didn't have time to post before you did.

Question to Cokethaman-

If you are remote ack'ing alarms in PCS7, then I assume the install must not be very large.  Otherwise then PCS7 should be the master (at least to me).  Is it true, or will the PCS7 system grow (making the following solution unsustainable), or already has too many objects (making it a pain)?

To get around the requirement to acknowledge by picture from Oreca's idea without additional modification of what I think are protected system scripts (AcknowledgeAllPicture), you can create a special picture that has just a Group Display object for every alarm object in the system. Either by manually creating (via copying, or scripting) of just group display objects with the .EventState tag configured, or you could take every block icon and put them all on one graphic.

Then just hard code the AcknowledgeAllPicture to be the special picture (with the right call up path) and customize your @screen or @1001 so it is always open in a hidden picture window and run the script from tag trigger in the script engine.

Sorry I don't have time to test the theory to working code at this point.

you can configure an "acknowledgment tag/bit" for every single message.

The message was acknowledged if the corresponding acknowledgment bit has the value "1".
The message has not yet been acknowledged if the corresponding acknowledgment bit has the value "0".
This acknowledgment bit is set when a message is acknowledged in Runtime.

There are multiple options to perform this and it depends on your requirement whether you would like to create a separate button to acknowledge the alarm and set a bit or tag as a consequence of that. In this case, you have to create a custom button in the desired location (or customized alarm control) and when you click the button to acknowledge, you can set a bit on 'mouse button click' and reset it on the release of the click.

However, if you want to set the bit when any alarm from Alarm Logging list was acknowledged by the corresponding button in the toolbar, there is a different way to do it - using Status Tag of a Message Group. 

Every alarm message occupies two bits in the status tag - The 'ack' bit is one while the other is one activated/deactivated or came in/went out status. The position of the "acknowledgment bit" depends on the data type of the status tag. It is better to use a 32 bit unsigned integer tag for status.

This concept of status is well explained in the Working with WinCC Manual under the section 'Configuring the Message System'.
