Yes this can be done without the need for EDE files, although rather than 'writing' a value from one PX to another, you 'read' from one PX to another.

i.e. as an example, if your 'master' BI is located in S9 / OP04 - then you would add a BI to S10 / OP01 to read from the 'master' BI in S9 / OP04. The syntax you refer to would be defined in the BI within the S10 / OP01 controller, using the Edit I/O Addresses window.

The syntax used for controllers on the same UDP port is reasonably straight forward - B=[x][y,z]' (where x is the device instance number of the remote PX, y is the object type, and z is the object instance number for the point you want to read from).

However, as you have the controllers on different UDP ports, this changes the syntax required. Refer to the attached file for more information and some examples (this is taken from Siemens document reference CM110666en_10). B=[0,IP,"10.170.173.11:0xBAC0"][y,z]. Again, y is the object type, and z is the object instance number for the point you want to read from.

You will need to establish the object type number (i.e. 3 for a BI, or 5 for a BVAL) and also the object instance number for the 'master' point you want to read from.
