I have a SIMATIC PCS 7 CPU 410E REDUNDANCY SYSTEM (6ES7656-6EK30-1GF0) with SIMATIC MODBUS/TCP PN RED and additional CP cards for Modbus communication.

SIMATIC Modbus/TCP Red for S7-400 H systems, Single license on CD

Communications processor CP 443-1 (firmware V3.2)

May I know whether I need to use 6AV6676-6MB30-3AX0 on this CP or 4AX0?

Much appreciate if you can advise this case.

May I know whether I need to use 6AV6676-6MB30-3AX0 on this CP or 4AX0?

Currently there is any issue on DCS (EMERSON) communication interface using CP cards

1. The primary network communicates well. However, communication is disconnected in the secondary network every 1 mintues based on DCS reponse time 500ms(default).

2. Even if we change the DCS response time from 500ms to 5000ms, the disconnection of the secondary network is similar. Only the interval of disconnection of the secondary network becomes longer.

3. Even in the Modbus test program by “Modbus Poll”, “Message Time-out” was occurred when the response time was with 2100ms or 2200ms, less than 2500ms.

4. We have tested communication with other systems such as Honeywell several times with S7-400H CPU412H, 414H, and so on, and so far there is no problem.

Is there any problem when using PN MODBUS network and CP MODBUS network together in S7-400H CPU410E?

Much appreciate if you can advise this case.

 Please have a look at Which technical data applies for the SIMATIC Modbus/TCP blocks and for which CPUs and CPs is it released .

SIMATIC Modbus/TCP CP Red:

Pcs7 v7.1 sp2 or higher

...-4ax0: S7-400 CPUs FW V6.0 and higher

...-3ax0: all firmware versions

6GK7443-1EX30-0XE0^1: V3.0 and higher, but not V3.2.9

¹⁾These CPs support the multiple Port 502. When using SIMATIC Modbus/TCP CP V4.3 you must use the blocks with FC10 "AG_CNTRL" (from the Current directory)
