but that is what I said to you, probably Intel 486 processor can be this inside, but what I know 386 processors are widely used for that, but this is due PLC speed selection - slow / middle  / high .

Update: I got here one B&R PLC/Panel in one and has Intel 386 processor.

4 years ago I was asked by one of my customers about processor speed in MHz of S7-400H CPUs and whether it's a multi-processor based or not .

I told him about instruction processing times but his mind was locked to processor speed in MHz to compare it with other controllers from other vendors.

Strangely, in the very next year Siemens released the 410 CPU for PCS7 with the following specifications:

I know it's useless but Siemens gives this piece of info. only for 410 CPU to avoid this silly question in DCS market.
