Hello, 

What shall I tell to the customer that wants to make an upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on PG M5 with STEP5 (and of course he still wants to have S5 support)?

I know that on M5 there was no support for STEP5 on Win 10. Do you have any kind of experience? Any ideas how to solve this problem? (of course except buying PG M6 ;-) )

Use a virtual machine with Windows XP and install STEP 5 on it.  You can use the COM port by assigning it to the virtual machine.  Personally, I use VirtualBox, but VMware or a different one could be used as well.

I think this FAQ is about STEP5 installed on computers others then Field PGs. You could order PG M5 on Win 7 with STEP5, and now you can order PG M6 on Win 10 with STEP5. This is somehow preinstalled by the factory.
