Connect to SIMOSIM from other VMWare via OPC-UA

DioLeu Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I am using VMWare workstation, and i have 2 VM's setup. One VM has a Tia portal project with a D445-2 Simotion controller. I'm running SIMOSIM on this project. I've enabled OPCUA and I can connect with UAexpert in the same VM - this works great. The other VM is the HMI development VM. This has a .NET app, and we're in the progress of writing a OPC UA driver so that we may connect to the simotion controller. I would like to connect to the Simosim VM from my HMI development VM. Would this be possible and if so could you provide some guidance as to how to set this up? Thanks in advance!

DioLeu Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, Thanks for your reply. Your sample document is useful. However, and sincere apologies for the confusion - when i meant 'HMI' i did not mean WinCC. We're currently developing our own SCADA app in .NET. We want to connect to Siemens over OPC UA using the unified automation OPC UA .NET sdk. Therefore i only need to setup the SIMOSIM VM in such a way that i can reach the VM from the outside. I've attached a small picture of the setup using my extraordinary paint skills... You can see the VM running a simosim project with OPCUA enabled. I then have a second VM and i want to set it up so that from the second VM i can connect with UAExpert to the first VM.
