AUS_MB Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	Hi INS I have the four protocols in your list, as well as some windows services (QoS scheduler, file and printer sharing, etc.) I think that the Scalance AP is acting as a router and terminating the MAC packets. What do you think?

This would really have to do with something on your PG/PC. Please check the following FAQ: Why do no PROFINET components appear in the primary setup tool or in STEP 7 -Display Accessible Nodes-?

AUS_MB Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	When my PG/PC is connected to the AP it comes up on the AP's client list. The connection type is 'Sta' while the wireless client's connection type is L2T (layer 2 tunnel). Perhaps my problems are related to the type of connection that my PG/PC has made to the AP

Are you sure that you change your Set PG/PC interface to the WLAN NIC you are using? And if so please select TCP/IP and select the one without <Auto>. And you told me that when you are connected via wireless you are able to use Accessible nodes but it only shows nodes behind your client. This would mean everything is ok but there is still something blocked on the wired side. What kind of switch is used behind the AP?

AUS_MB Posts: 45 Rating: (0)	Yeah, the PG/PC interface is set to TCP/IP without auto When im connected via wireless I don't see any nodes in accessible nodes - zero. The strange thing is that when I am connected via wireless I can go online to PLCs, use the monitor function, but I cannot see anything in accessible nodes. A X204-2 scalance switch is behind the AP - it is in default factory settings like all the other equipment

But I really think it's something on your PC since I'm always able to scan for accesible nodes. Also PN IO works through an AP without a Layer 2 Tunnel if you use a W744 for example. This is also a Layer 2 protocol like the protocols used for the scanning in Step 7. Maybe your firewall blocks something or something went wrong installing your Step 7 or your WLAN Card. You could try reinstall your WLAN card and repair Step 7. Maybe you download the Primary Setup Tool and test this, it's easier to reinstall your Step 7 and the software is available as a free download. If it then doesn't work you should contact SIEMENS Customer Support by using the Support Request button on the right site of this website. I would appreciate it if you post the solution (when you have found it) on the forum for other users.
