munarza Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	i want to get a plc digital input periodically , for example every 15 seconds, from 840d and write this to a file on MMC/PCU side. after that i will collect this file over ethernet to a host computer and report this data

You must start a "program" in second chanel, that read inputs and write it to Filesystem. Have your Machine a free Chanel ? (Option) Else no other result, when you want to make it with PCU. Many Manufacter have an Personal Conputer. Inputsfrom PLC change24VDC to Signallevel 5VDC an reads in over/into Printerport. The PC is need for "read in"programms to NC-Maschine, Readmanufacturing drawings . . . Perhaps that help you.

munarza Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	ok. can i create a log file on harddisk of mmc/pcu for some kind of data in plc. maybe i can keep the data on plc side and then transfer these data to the NC and write them to a log file. is this possible

AeolusCao Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	This problem is easy to solve. Just make a program with VB.Net or C#.Net and start it as an OEM application. You can communicate with NCK or PLC with NCDDE.Also you can manage the log files with the GUI.
