Hi All

I am new to the forum and need help with a Siemens MMC103 , NCU and S7 software

reload .

We had a harddrive failure on the MMC103 . I restored a ghost image of the drive from 2017.

When the MMC103 loads it displays the following message after a while .

I have reset the PLC using S3 and S4 .

Will the PLC and NCU be automatically loaded via this startup or is there something else i must load first before this

Yes that is an external screen . I have ordered backlighting tubes for the original screen .

I do not have an external storage device . There is a PCMCIA card in the NCU .

I have the HDD in the MMC103 . What steps do i take to restore from either of these two options the software to the PLC .

i choose " Startup " and get this error .

I have done everything according to your instructions but still get many errors before  the machine reaches the menu stage .

I have 2 green LEDS on the NCU .

It does seem as if there is a communication problem between the MMC103 and the NCU from all the error messages during startup

From that point i am unable to restore any archives .

Solution was the HDD .

We fitted a 350Mb drive  and restored the Ghost image . .

ON boot up we had many errors.

We realised that the software was trying to access the d: partition on start up but could not .

We used the utilities menu via "6" key to access Dosshell mode . Option 3 .

We tried to go to D: but we unable to.

We then ran Fdisk and deleted the extended dos partition .

We then re-created the extended dos partition .

Rebooted and via "6" menu and dos formatted partition D:

Rebooted machine and proceeded to restore NC and PLC archives.
