Problem downloading UserDefined Faceplates to Server From ES/OS

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (14)	Hi All, I have a problem in downloading user defined Faceplates to Server. The actual configuration goes like this: We have an ES/OS, Server and a Client. We have created few User Defined Faceplates in the ES/OS and all these have been working fine. 1) Now when we download the WinCC part to Server, User Defined Faceplates are not getting copied. 2) At this stage, I copied the userdefined faceplates from the ES/OS and pasted the same in Server. During Run-Time, when I click on Blockicon we are able to retrieve the UserDefined Faceplate in the Standard View, but unable to expand the loop.( When we click on OPEN LOOP in the standard view, the other views like maintenance, message, trend etc are not opening) 3) Same problem as mentioned in point 2 happens with Client too. Need some help Plz!!! Regards Nil

Nil96 Posts: 325 Rating: (14)	Hi Fatso, I just didthe download as per procedure. In the component View--> PC Station-->OS-->PLC (Download). I got a successful download at the end. Entire WinCC project got downloaded to the Server. But, Userdefined faceplates and Global Scripts didn't get copied. I hope the above is clear. Regards Nil

Do you have them in the folder <multiproject>\<server project>\<computer name>\winccproj\GraCS <multiproject>\<client project>\<computer name>\winccproj\GraCS In PCS 7 the OS clients read the process pictures from the OS server, whereas the faceplates are run locally. Therefore it is crucial that any scripts and faceplate files are located in the client project. If you have placed the faceplate and script files in the folders mentioned above there is no reason that these files shouldn't be copied to the Client/Server computers. Verify if the files are missing on the server/client after download. If they are there then it can be a script error or wrong setting on the block icon. The "Servername" property on the block icon must be set according to your faceplate. i.e. Servername: PCS7 ASSETMON Control will open the faceplate @PG_ASSETMON.PDL Regards /Runis
