I have a similar problem. I have WinCC Professional V15.1 in my computer. When I tried to use Unified Panel in V16, there was a warning. It says "If there is any WinCC Professional version Unified can not be used". So I removed the professional version and installed the advanced. But still I have same warning. But when i research my computer there is not any WinCC Runtime file.
I also used Inventory Tool. I found a file about WinCC Professional but i couldn't remove that.

have you uninstalled the SQL Server Instance? I think this could be the problem. See FAQ 109745000.
