I read the manual from Easyscreen and Myscreen

What is the difference between this programs ?

Which one is more extensive ?

EasyScreen was the older name for Myscreen and both are ASCII based.

But there is Easy XML as well, but this is XML based code.

I have never used Easy XML only Easy/Myscreen so I could not tell you which of the 2 has the more extensive features.

It is possible to test it in Sinutrain 

You then put the .com files in

C:\Siemens\SinuTrain\SINUMERIK CNC-SW 840D sl 4.7 SP4 HF6\hmi\oem\sinumerik\proj\

And the Easyscreen.ini file in

C:\Siemens\SinuTrain\SINUMERIK CNC-SW 840D sl 4.7 SP4 HF6\hmi\oem\sinumerik\cfg\

Rather late to this, but as a hint: You can use a file extension other than ".com" for easyscreen files, as long as you change all the references in the ini files and the easy screen files themselves.

Why? Because Windows will not let you open a ".com" file by double clicking on it as it thinks it is a command file. I use ".ES" as an extension and set ".ES" files to open directly using notepad++, using Siemens Easyscreen formating. SO much easier.

Works for Sinutrain, and directly with files on the CNC if connected via "Access my machine" (used to be called RCS commander).
