We have a XYZ Mini Mill 560 circa 2003 which had a Sinumerik 802d controller. We started having an intermittent Y drive problem so shut down the machine for a week or so (always been left powered on prior to this). When we turned it on we had a Fault ID 200A0083 which I tracked down to mean the battery/capacitor backup was discharged and the parameters had been lost. I rebooted using the default data.

The screen is now totally different to what we had before. There was a floppy disk in the controller cabinet which contains the following files:

Data                              80KB

Leadscrew comp       40KB

NCK.stu                        459KB

PLC.stu                         84KB

The 802d appears to have a compact flash slot on the front panel but no floppy drive.  I can copy the above files onto a Compact Flash card but I have no idea how to load them into the 802d. I also think I need other files.

Can any one help or point me to instructions on how to load the original data/machine parameters?

I am OK with sorting the battery backup hardware.
