After power off , as regulating wheel stopped hence job kept rotating at alarming speed of grinding wheel

This machine is with Siemens 802D & 611U Drive – there is neither backup module for PCU nor capacitor bank for LT module to keep PCU ON with regulating wheel running during power cut.

Please suggest if we can provide “single phase preventer”” which will bring controller into emergency, as an when it senses drop in incoming supply, to enable retract cycle because if we apply emergency, then retract cycle works

Because to retract cycle feed drive system health is required.

Power cut in fraction of second.

And if provide backup ups module for ppu it shows drive fault

Today we had one more serious issue

In Auto cycle, Plunging axis moved in excess and banged grinding wheel - due to this, error E608 on LT Module, common for Regulating wheel as well as plunging axis ie X but Grinding wheel, which is thro Mitsubishi drive,  kept running at its commanded speed till Emergency was not applied hence Job kept rotating in alarming speed

To simulate the condition, in Jog Mode we started rotating both Grinding wheel and regulating wheel, then opened up encoder connector on LT module to create error E 504, in this situation also Grinding wheel found running at programmed speed and moreover in this alarm condition, found X axis moving in negative direction upto 9 mm till Emergency applied.

Request to let us know how Grinding wheel kept rotating and X moving even with Error E504
