Dear Forum members, 

i got an 6ES7 214 - 1AG40 - 0XB0 (DC/DC/DC) CPU, and planned to create a thermal control application by using PID_temp Block as a single loop controller. 

from s7-1500 PID control function manual, i found that the PID_Temp block has both of "output heating PWM" and " output cooling PWM" . Some question below are arise then  :

1.to be able  to use  PWM signal outputted by the PID Temp block, Do i have to configure the digital output of PLC by setting  them as a pwm generator, and then use additional CTRL_PWM block on my plc program ?

2. the digital output of PLC is built from a MOSFET transistor, how do i found the maximum output frequency that can be supported by it ?

 You should examine the description of PID_Temp configuration in the S7-1500  PID manual:

The setup of PWM signals for heating and cooling is done from within the PID_Temp operating instructions.
