AutoGen_3114983 Posts: 65 Rating: (0)	Hi all, Software: - Windows 10 Pro 21H1 - Step7 Proffessional V16 U1 - Step7 Proffessional V14 SP1 U9 Hardware: - 6ES7211-1BE40-0XB0 V4.5 I have a 6ES7211-1BE40-0XB0 CPU in a limited space environment where I need one more DI, but I'm all out. I still have both the 0-10V AI's available, so I was considering using a resistor to detect if a switch is closed or not. The AI would then be used as a DI, detecting 0V when the switch is open, and 10V if I use a 14kOhm resistor with 24VDC supply. Attached is a sketch, one side showing the wiring as shown in Siemens example (left) and the other showing how I am considering doing this (right): Would this be doable?
