He can use the S7 ethernet protocol. But I don't know how to set up BM to "talk" to each other. :-( I tried searching on the forum, but I probably can't enter the correct question. Can anyone help me or point me to a suitable link?

ixo65 Grandmaster Joined: 12/18/2014 Last visit: 9/4/2025 Posts: 35917 Rating: (4496)	Some device with the S7 protocol don't use any variables of the LOGO!, e.g. Vx variables. Instead they a DB1 address. So for correct help I need to know what the IDEC HMI variables use and what data formats.

I don't know how to set up TSAP, .... etc. My big problem is the language barrier :-( Attachment Desktop.zip (343 Downloads)

The VM area is special memory for data exchange. This is - Vx.x for a bool. - VBx for a byte. - VWx for a word. - VDx for a double word. Some S7 compatible devices (like your HMI) don't know the V-variables. They can use the DB1. Example: V0.0 = DB1.DBX0.0 VB1 = DB1.DBB1 VW2 = DB1.DBW2 VD4 = DB1.DBD4

Then can you select If the LOGO! is client (client connection) or if the LOGO! is server (server connection).
