Whenever I install the app, when I restart the IOT2050, the Stat LED turns red and I can't boot in any way. I reset the image to be able to recover the IOT2050. Does anyone know what the cause would be? or would you tell me where I can go so that it doesn't happen to me? thanks, Edu

bergmanu Platinum Member Joined: 4/28/2015 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 3345 Rating: (382)	Hi, the reason is that wireguard somehow installs an addiotnal kernel (5.10), which breaks the image and the IOT2050 cannot boot anymore. Haven't found a way to install wireguard without the additional kernel being installed so far. Best regards!

I would like to use Wireguard, wireguard could work properly if I create a new OS image and do not use the sample image provided by Siemens, using META-IOT2050 to create the new OS image with this method: https://github.com/ siemens / meta-iot2050? If I don't have wireguard options, what other software can I use to make VPN tunnels? Can you recommend me a speed-efficient software like wireguard and simple Thank you so much, Edu

I tried it like this and the IOT2050 was able to boot afterwards. You can contact me with a private message for the firmware if you want to try it like this. Best regards!

I tested IOT2050 Advanced with Teamviewer VPN and it works Ok, not great performance buts its works. I also tested with success the Logmein Hamachi (better performance). Not tested yet with OpenVPN but may work too. Regards Célio Goetten
