I have a faceplate acting as a button that opens another faceplate as a popup. Im using this command:

po = Faceplate.OpenFaceplateInPopup("UnitCtrl_V_0_0_37", "", true, false);

The third parameter positions the popup faceplate next to my button. However if the button is close to the edge of the window, the popup will open outside the defined window size, this is not very user friendly as the operator needs to move the scroll bars.

Is it possible to get the global coordinates of the popup faceplate when it is opened relatively? That way I could detect the popup is outside the screen and move it.

yes, it is possible. 

you have all the settings saved in the "po" object.

po.Left is the Left position of the PopUp, po.Top the top equivalent.

What i think is pretty nice is that in V17 you can also check where your Parent (calling Faceplate is).

that way you can for example say:

po.Left = Faceplate.Parent.Left +100; or check if it is out of limit and replace it.
