Hello, Significance of the alarm is, difference between safe actual value in NCK & drive is greater than set in MD 36942 i.e. SAFE_POS_TOL. Since you replaced NCU card, value in NCU is zero,where as drive position value is retained due to which difference is too large, which results in triggering alarm/fault. To overcome this problem, you need to carry out axis encoder re-evaluation i.e. commissioning. The version of Sinumerik we are using is 4.07 SP5. Does that still apply? Thank You |

Hello nulizhang, 1. It is not clear why user replaced NCU? What is the original problem? do not know why user tried for replacement even though user is well aware that system is SI system. 2. Without doing preliminary ground work, user replaced NCU & landed in problem. Moreover I suggested to refer links & study SI in system. Before replacement of NCU, if user had contacted OEM or Siemens service/support center or had discussed this issue in forum, then user would have got an idea or information or suggestion what to do & not to do. 3. User has not specified which SI functions are enabled. So suggested user to check this point, so that based on it, further help can be suggested. So remotely, I can help user towards correct direction & hope will be able to solve the problem.
