Hi everyone

when adding 500 ohm resistance to analog output we get 0-10V ,then i connect this 0-10V to potentiometer to get  a signal from 0 to 10V which will be connected to an analog input (built-in)

according to Ohms law

10K potentiometer  current=1ma   power = 0.01 w

5K potentiometer  current=2ma   power = 0.02 w

does this method acceptable and what should i take in consideration before getting the potentiometer, how many watts it should be (the potentiometer)
