I have a 1PosUniversal/Digital module on Et200S 6ES7 138-4DL00-0AB0.

I have no idea how to reset actual value of encoder for example by limit switch, i can not find information in manual. Maybe someone had the same problem.

My suggestion is a general idea:
Do not try to zero the encoder count. Use another tag as the 'man in the middle'.

Example:

actual_position := convert *
DINT_TO_REAL(raw_encoder - raw_zero_position);

• actual_position can now be a position in [mm] units for example.
  
  
• convert is the conversion factor between raw encoder counts and [mm].
  
  
• raw_encoder is the encoder reading from your hardware.
  
  
• raw_zero_position is a saved value.
  It is the raw_encoder value where the reference sensor (limit switch?) is triggered.

I was thinking about this idea, it is really good approach to the subject i guess i will use it.

But i thought that hardware encoder (1Pos Universal) have something like switch limit zero, where is automatic reset of encoder value.

You can use a TO_ExternalEncoder and then perform homing.

 No, you cannot. According to the originator of this thread, this is about using the 1PosU module, which is not compatible wiht the S7-1200/1500 motion TOs (at least not straight ahead; of course with TO to DB connection and manipulating in OB MC-PreServo/PostServo you could connect anything to the TO...).

Regarding resetting the encoder value of the 1PosU:

Unfortunately I'm not really that familiar with the 1PosU module, but on a first look this sounds suitable...

Something is strange with that module, noone is familiar with the 1PosU, but in my project i must use it ;D
