I want to  network five logos locatet about 1km appart. Can I do that by connecting each logo to a 4G modem ? 

If Yes, how do I set that up ?

depends on how much information you want to transfer.

There is an application example of two LOGO! with a LOGO! CMR each which send needed data over SMS to each other

This can be scaled to 5 LOGO! stations each of course, but a LOGO! CMR can only monitor I think 32 signals. If this is enough it could be an idea for you.

If not you need 4 router with access to each other (maybe privat or public apn) and you can set up S7 connection through the LOGO! modules.

The number of signas through a CMR is more than enough but  a 4G router is a cheaper solution and might be more flexible than communicating with textmessages ?

Another thought, is it possible to communicate via the cloud-service ? I.e. can I reach a signal in another logo through the cloud ?

You can also use the CIM, it is a new module that can be used as a switch as well and also can take a sim card and send messages. It is just new in the field of siemens Logo! It can be connected to the cloud as well

Sounds interesting, where do I find information about the CIM ?

After looking around I´ve got to think about another opportunity. Would this be possible using LOGO 8.3 and AWS ? Can I exchange parameters between the different logos through the AWS?

If I can connect with ethernet cable it´s "easy" but question is if I can network the logos remotely through the AWS
