Protect S7-315pn/dp for reading and writing.

With Simatic manager the program can be protected with a password, but what if I made my own application and try to reador writeinformation from a DB? Can it be protected against non standard software? The only way I can think of is a hardware lock, is there standard hardware to lock the PLC? Thanks in advance, Jaap

Every software lock isn't 100% secure and they can be easily braked down. So if there is hardware lock then this is the best security of program. I know only hardware locks for CP341 drivers, but never heard for protecting your program.

I don't think that exists some protection tool (software or hardware) without ways to unblock. Using software protection is enough for "simple" (dayly) users. If someone decide to steal your job... you can't stop him. Hope this will helps. Best regards
