HSC input problem

I connected encoder (just one channel, HTL output) to the LOGO! 12/24RCEo I4 input, but it acts like the normal input instead of fast one. Impulses are only counted when encoder is rotating really slow. The test diagram is as bellow. Is there something else I need to know in order to make HSC works properly? The fastest the LOGO! can handle is 5kHz. + What is the voltage that you measure with your multimeter when the encoder is giving out pulses as a fast speed? That LOGO! does not have fast inputs.

In the screenshot can we see that you connected Z-signal to Input I5 and I5 to reset input of the counter. Try it without the reset.
