I would check in the text library if there are other entries with the word from wich the translation is not apearing. For instance, search for the word dryer1 in the text library (excact spelling like used at Simatic Manager side requiered and also upper/lower case to be considered). Only entries where the full content of the cell matches to your search are maybe relevant. If you find more than one entry to a specific word, make sure that theese entries have the same translation.

During import/export you must not change the spelling of a word in the export file for the "source language". Only the words for the new target languages may be created or modified.

Btw...it looks like "Dryer 1" is used at Simatic Manager side, but you are talking about "dryer1"

In S7usertext, i get all 3 as individual names. In Text library i get as Main/Electrical System and Main/Control System. I am quiet confused about it. Is it causing a translation problem what is discussed above?

That's normal and not the reason for your problem. I forgot that fact in my previous answer. So please search in the text library if you find "Absorption Dryer/Dryer 1" (without [ " ] ) more than one time. Please give an answer to that specific question. 

I need to correct Heisenbergs statement a little bit:

For hierarchy folders only the characters [ . ] [ " ] [ / ]  [ \ ] [ % ] are not allowed at all. Only in case you set the tick at "Name of the hierarchy folder is part of the HID" you should also avoid the characters [ ‘ ] [ ' ] [ . ] [ % ] [ \ ] [ * ] [ ? ] [ : ] [ space ] in the hierarchy folders because they then become part of the tag names and they are converted into the character [ $ ] during OS compilation. This may cause a problem under certain circumstances (not in general). Details about this can be found in the "PCS7 Compendium Part A", chapter "5.1 General configuration rules", headline "Special characters". In chart names and block names theese characters should also be avoided because they are always part of the tag names. I often see projects where     [ _ ] was used in the area and sub area names instead of a [ space ] and I want to make clear that this is absolutley unneccessary. Even if you have set the tick at "Name of the hierarchy folder is part of the HID" you could use the character [ space ] in area names. In that case you avoid the [ space ] in the hierarchy folder's name but you edit the area name in the tab "Control and Monitoring Attributes" under "OS area ID" where you then can use the           [ space ] again.

So why I explain all that? 

1.  I wanted to clear up a widespread misbelief
2. I am convinced that the [ space ] is not causing the questioner's problem
3. I hopefully see less [ _ ] in area names in future 

Personally I always use [ space ]  in area names (edited under "OS area ID") and never had any problems regarding this since many many years working with PCS7.

Hello Shree,

yes, you need to do that translation in the project which contains the OS. Only then it will affect the runtime of the OS. In AS projects you only need to do that in case you want to change the language in Simatic Manager and want to see translated texts there.

I think I didn't came to that solution because in your initial descrition it sonds like only some translations after export/import where not apearing. Thank you for the feedback with the solution. This may help other users in future.
