yy1 Posts: 535 Rating: (112)	Dear SAGITAR, as far as I understand this table, the achievable SIL-level only depends on the setting for '1oo1' / '1oo2' of your DI-module. The 1oo2-setting seems to be not available with the PM-E 24 VDC-module, but I don't know a reason for this restriction. The actual manual (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/12490437) only refers to the PM-modules PM-E DC24V, PME DC24..48V/AC24..230V or PM-E DC24..48V.

Hello,
If you look at this update http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/31745413,
one of the improvements of the

4/8 F-DI DC24V PROFIsafe digital electronic module

6ES7138-4FA04-0AB0

is the following:

Mixing of standard and failsafe modules within a voltage group permitted
up to SIL3 / PL e / Cat 4

With older types it was required to use some types of PM to achieve SIL3.
Has something to do with galvanic isolation between power and internal electronic.
