geri Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I need to expand a Sinumerik 810D (from 1998) with a CP343-1 card. That CP card can be PROFINET IO-Controller or PROFINET IO-Device. There is a IM361 expansion rack and the CP343-1 will be mounted into the slot 11. Have somebody did this or similar scenario before? Any advice or tips are appreciated.

nulizhang Platinum Expert Joined: 10/17/2007 Last visit: 1/19/2026 Posts: 4579 Rating: (416)	I attached picture , as CP343-1 belong to SIMATIC S7, you need to check manual of installation for it (to see it can be insert into Rack 1 or higher) then you need have your 810D "toolbox" --project SW for configuration PLC If you are machine builder or you purchased as service purpose --it normally installed as 'Add-on" to your SIMATIC Manager tips, you cannot use normal SIMATIC Manager to configure 810 PLC as : #1--The PLC integrated on CCU is different from normally S7 PLC CPU (314,315 and son on) #2--The rack 0 cannot insert any other module, all I/O should be insert starting from Rack 1 Attachment CP343-1.JPG (437 Downloads)

Had to use one more IM360 Rack extension The following HW-Config is running now. see attachment The Camera is online in the the Profinet is also online after i set its parameters and name. All of the cards have the green leds on. But of course there is a bug! If i am online in the Hardware Configuration and click on the CP343-1 card to see its properties and diagnosis than the the CPU goes into DEFECTIVE operating mode. geri Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Just attached the diagnosis printscreen. After a NCU reset the Defective state is gone and the system is running again. If I try to diagnose the CP343-1 online again then come the Defective status again. All CPU-LEDS are blinking. Its the Event 4x50.The hex code is 700c. Do you have any ideas to solve this?
