I give you suggestion which may meet your need. see attached 840D programming (Page for "OVR") try it to see it can suppress override switch on machine control panel .Such as you add in NC program N10 OVR=100, on the panel switch set to 50%, see what the result

Im new to this forum and this is my first post here. I would be really happy if someone could help with this issue.

Background: We have some problems with operators who doesnt turn back the feedrate override wheel to 100% or forget to turn the programming key back. Which then means we loose production time and quality.

What i want to do is check the feedrate override in a nc program. I can check it in the diagnosis window by looking at $AC_PLC_OVR or DB21.DBB5. But im not able to read it in a nc program, i just get an alarm saying "not available" or something like that.

Does anyone has a clue or idea how to solve it?

Sinumerik 840D is used.
