I have two SINAMICS G120 drives (CU250S and PM240) connected to induction motors. When the first motor makes one revolution(360°) the second motor makes two revolutions (720°). 

Everything pointed to the use of MC_CamIn function, but when I was plotting the dependancy of the drives in CamIN function I realized they were linear dependant. So I used MC_GearInPos function and set the numerator value to 2 (so the second drive does two times the path of the first drive).

I do not have the chance to test the model for a longer duration of time, so my questions are:

- Does the MC_GearInPos hold the synchronization for longer periods of time (months, years...) or    does it fall out of sync more often?
- What can cause the motors going out of sync?
- Would it be better to use the CamIn function and why?
