Two issues:

1. The size of the $AC_TIMER-Array needs to be defined by MD28258 $MC_MM_NUM_AC_TIMER (CHAN-specific, DRAM-required)
2. The access to $AC_TIMER[x] is possible ONLY from SYNACT

For Your requirements:

• To use $AC_TIMER[1] anyhow: MD28258 $MC_MM_NUM_AC_TIMER must be at least "2"
• Start the timer by SYNACT: WHEN ... $AC_TIMER[1] = 0
• Read/Compare the timer value by SYNACT: WHEN ... $AC_TIMER[1] > 2 DO ...
• Stop/Reset the timer by SYNACT: WHEN ... $AC_TIMER[1] = -1
• access only by SYNACT!
