I did not check 840D sl manual, but I am very sure for 840D PL, 

You can get information from "key position--0,1,2 or 3" on MCP, but you cannot get information from PLC interface of Password level. see attached picture for 840D PL protection level.

of cause you can see operation message from 'Strat-up " area --such as Protection Level "Manufacture"

I have a question about passwords of 840D sl. Can I see level in plc when I set the password? For example "SERVICE-USER"... If I see, what's the address in plc? I am waiting for your back as soon as possible.
