Communication between S7-400H and standard S7-400

luanth Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I have some problems with redundancy system. I hope you will help me. I want to communicate between a redundant system (S7-400H, CPU417-4H) and standard system (S7-400, CPU416-3DP) via industrial ethernet. Redundant communications between redundant and standard systems is not supported. So in NETPRO, I configured two S7 connections. I want to use FB SEND_BO, REC_BO. However, there are two S7 connections, so in program I met with difficulties. Because I don't know which CPU of redundancy system is running (or is communicating with CPU416-3DP), so I can not assign ID parameter of FB SEND_BO/REC_BO. Can you show me some solutions for this work? tks&br

umencho Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/10/2026 Posts: 10247 Rating: (1183)	Hello luanth, You should prepare one "mix" from Sample program: reading out the operating state and status of an H system and after that to call (enable) responsible Send and Receive functions. Idea is first to know which CPU is "running" and then use this ID... Hope this will helps. Best regards Hristo Mihalev
