I'm trying to install a handwheel to a Profinet connected MCP483C PN. The panel is working.

The wiring is OK, I connected to X60 (1st slot).

The logical base address for HandW in TIA is set to 14..17 (because MCP ( 0..13) and I tried alternatively 368..372 also.

After the HWconfig is downloaded to PLC the input image captures the rotation of the handwheel, and IW14/IW368 shows the correct values.

But this value is not transferred to the NCK.

My MD settings:

$MN_HANDWHEEL_SEGMENT[0] = 5 (Profinet)

$MN_HANDWHEEL_MODULE[0] = 1

$MN_HANDWHEEL_INPUT[0] = 1

$MN_HANDWHEEL_LOGIC_ADDRESS[0] = 14 or 368 according to the hwconfig.

I left the [1] indexed MD datas 0.

I got:

4632 Logical PROFIBUS handwheel slot base address for handwheel 1 not found

alarm and the handwheel is not working, also DB10 shows nothing.

I don't have any PLC code written for the handweel, I only set DB31.DBX4.0 when I want to jog X axis.

Can anyone help me with this matter?
