Hi Newbie here,

I have a HMI unified comfort panel installed within my farm. The location of the farm is remote so for maintenance and servicing I need to be able to access them remotely.

I tried SM@RT client.exe and web server, but I think it only works if my PC/tablet/smartphone is connected to the same network (e.g Wifi). 

Are there different options for me to connect my HMI live screen remotely with different network? For example, I want to connect to my HMI live screen from my home, with my local wifi.

Indeed you are right, to use SM@RT CLIENT or WEBSERVER, you need to be on the same subnet, or since in your case it is not possible, use a VPN and it will work.

1- Open the device configuration of the operator panel in the WinCC (TIA Portal) project.

2- Click on the operator panel and select "PROFINET interface [X1] > Ethernet addresses”.

3- Enter IP address and subnet mask of the operator panel. Activate "Use router”, and in "Router address” you enter the IP address of the internal interface of the SCALANCE S612.

4- Transfer the project to the operator panel.
