Hello,

We have been running into an issue for the past week and cannot seem to get around it. I was hoping to pull the program from our ET200S PLC and go online with this system. I have tried uploading as a new station, starting a blank program and connecting the device, and tried changing IP address of computer in the event this was causing an issue. 

Most of the time nothing happens and it just sits there and I cannot upload or do anything. When I can upload as a new station, every time, a error pops up saying "The online module 6ES7 151-8FB01-0AB0 V3.2 does not support uploading to PG/PC."

I thought this might be something specific to the program I was using, and have been swapping between TIA Portal V12, V13, and V14 with no luck. 

I know I am probably missing something simple.. but I'm very inexperienced with Siemens PLCs and have run into a roadblock. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you checked for firmware updates of the IM or TIA Portal you are using?

 I have not but I can look into this.

it may also be not possible, as it is a safety cpu.

In old versions of Siemens manual "Industrial Software SIMATIC Safety - Configuring and Programming", following statement for classic safety cpu's can be found.

-> "Uploading to a PG/PC (S7-300, S7-400)"

-> "You can only upload the hardware configuration if F-capability is not enabled for the F-CPU."

Unfortunately, this statement is no longer available in latest manual, but i do not think, this was changed.

It may be worth creating a support request....

After some research I think this was programmed in either Simatic Manager or starter, I have never worked with starter before and don't have access to MicroWin at the moment. 

I have not tried hooking up with Starter but when I opened the program, I saw some catalog information for some S7-200 CPU's

 Starter is for VFD's and MicroWin is for S7-200 series PLC's.

But anyways, even though you would have Simatic Manager, you still can't upload the station, because the Firmware of the PLC doesn't allow uploading.

After some looking, I found out I also did not have the catalogs for the ET200s downloaded? Maybe this could have been some of the issue I was seeing?

 You already got the error message stating that the firmware version on the PLC, doesn't support uploading. I don't understand why it is not clear?
