WinCC 7.0 sp1 & CPU 317-2 pn/dp through CP1613

RasaIcce Posts: 32 Rating: (0)	Hallo, I have a problem with communication between PLC(317-2 pn/dp) and SCADA (WinCC 7.0) through Network card CP1613. I got SIMATIC NET edition 2006 and licence on flopy disc for CP1613 .But ,on installation CD for WinCC 7.0 I got SIMATIC NET edition 2008 and I installed it ,together with WinCC 7.0.Also I saw in Licence Manager that I have installed SIMATIC NET PC software 7.1 and I have licence for SIMATIC NET PC software 6.4.Is it ok or not? My CP1613 is: 6GK1161-3AA01 Question : Why there is diference in edition for SIMATIC NET ,if I bought both softwares (SIMATIC NET and WinCC) in same time?I think that I got wrong licence for SIMATIC NET.Am I right or not? When I insatlled CP 1613 in SIMATIC RACK PC everything was ok.I got new network connection with CP 1613 ,I adjusted it with IP adress : 192.168.0.125 Also I adjusted PG/PC interface on CP1613(ISO).After that I connected UTP cable (cross-over) between PLC's ethernet port and CP1613 on PC.After that network connection was OK. I tried to ping PLC with IP adress of it (192.168.0.11) but I got message : hardware error. I didn't understand why it happened and what is it wrong? In same time everything is ok if I try to connect through TCP/IP (PLC and internal network card of PC). Thank you in advance!!!

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well I guess you have quite a lot of ... let’s say situations at your side. First of all I would say your CP 1613 works, depending on the way you installed it, not like a standard NIC. This is the case at least not as long as you do not install the NDIS Driver of the Card... I would not recommend doing it. So the fault you receive is caused of this reason, the WinSock does not handle the CP, especially not if you just use the ISO interface of the Card. The S7-300 CPU with PN Interface does not support the ISO Interface, here you need the TCP or better RFC1006 Interface, and than it should work I think. About the Software versions you mentioned this is hard. The Edition 2006 Licence will not work with the 2008 Edition. So here you need the Update licence available but be careful... Be careful because I do not know if the WinCC version you use is released with the SIMATIC NET version you are about to use. This would have to be checked first. So please check all these conditions first, than we can see if it works now. Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, would you mind to try the following. First set the CP 1613, not the NDIS, to the IP 192.168.0.2 and the Gateway to the IP 192.168.0.3. Than try at the Command Prompt the command ipconfig /all and post this Screenshot here. Than try your Ping once more. Best regards J_Bell

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Dear RasaIcce, would you maybe disable your Braodcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet NIC for a moment, at least as long as we run the tests with the CP 1613? It is quite unlucky to have two NICs which are not capable of doing teaming to run within the same Network. I hope it will work then... as an alternative you may change the Network ID of the Broadcom Card to ... for example 192.168.10.x Best regards J_Bell
