Pressure Transmitter

There is one pressure transmitter in the main discharge of pumps to monitor the main discharge pressure. 

Set bar to be provided by the end user .

Flow Transmitter.

There will be 1 No of Flow Transmitter  to monitor discharge water flow. If there is high water flow pumps have to be stopped as there can be leak in the pipeline.

Pumps

There are 4 pumps in the in the unit  to operate in pressure control mode whenever demand signal is as per pressure set point . 3 duty +1 stand by .

Auto Operation of Pump from PLC/HMI

Pump can be operated in automatic mode from PLC and the steps as follow.

Pumps to be selected Auto in Pump Compartment.

Required Pressure to be programmed in the PLC,

Duty Selection of Pumps will be done based on Pump Id (1,2,3,4) .

Duty-1 Pump will start whenever the PLC send the command to start

Pump will go to the minimum speed.

Check for the required pressure achieved or not.

Increase the speed of the Duty-1 Pump slowly to get the required pressure as per the set point .

Speed of the pump will be adjusted as per the required pressure using PID controller in PLC.

When duty-1 pump speed is maximum and the required pressure is not yet achieved, the Duty-2 Pump will come up.  Same in the case of Duty 3 .

Decrease the speed of the running pump to average speed and start second pump automatically and vice versa via PID.

Duty-2 Pump speed is to be brought to the same speed of Duty-1 Pump and increase or decrease the speed of both pumps together to get the required pressure.

Whenever Three pumps are running in minimum speed and the pressure going up, stop the duty-2 pump and control the speed of duty-1 pump to get set pressure.

Whenever there is any trip or fault for one of the running pump, Assist pump will start and control the speed of running pumps together.

One pump is running in minimum speed and the pressure is still increasing, then stop the running pump normally.

Pumps can be stopped one by one if there is no demand of pressure and flow .

Cyclic change of 3 duty  will take place every 12 hours .

As noticed in example above mention operation is based on discrete signals not with the pressure sensor or pressure bar  and no PID has been implemented in the program.

Also the sequence of operation is based with priority pumps.

Kindly help for the same.

Start with a base program, define all inputs and outputs, try to create all your needed functions. If you have problems with advanced functions, then you can get help for it.

All available programs with pumps in the conference you can use as sample to create all base functions. The conference is not a place to get ready programs. The people spent their free time to help in details, not to create complete programs for free and you earn the money for it ?
