Hi,

here is my setup:

- my laptop with TIA portal
- S7-1200 PLC on a remote site.

The place where the PLC is does not have wired internet, and I can't use an intermediate computer.

I want to be able to go online, monitor variables, download modified projects etc. to the PLC,

Given that I can't use an intermediate computer, and can only use mobile networks, I guess my options are either to attach a  CP 1242-7 GSM/GPRS module to the PLC, or use a router that takes internet from a mobile data SIM card and connect one of its LAN ports to the PLC.

Is any of the above possible at all? Anyone did that?
