Servo motor "screams"

AutoGen_1076725 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	I have a problem with a servo motor that "screams". There is a metalic wheel attatched to the motor shaft. This metalic wheel starts to vibrate and gives a high tone noise. It is the same noise for all rpm, even if the motor is at zero rpm it screams and vibrates. If I remove the metallic wheel from the servo motor the noise disappeares. It seems like there is a resonance frequency between the servo motor feedback and the metalic wheel. Can the motor be tuned so this screaming noise disappeare? I have tried to change the P and I parameters but the noise is still there.

Please tell us what in this equation are Siemens devices and which are not. Go ahead and give us the part numbers, firmware versions and any other detail which reveals what you have. Where was this P and I parameter adjusted? PLC code / Servo drive / Motion Controller / ..?

AutoGen_1076725 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	It is a SINAMICS S120 servodrive and Siemens 1FT7084-1AH71-1CG1 servo motor It is a closed loop regulation so P and I is in the servo drive Attachment image.png (346 Downloads)
