good morning all,

im experiencing a fault in step7 300, SF is always high and BF2 fault flashes

i checked in hardware config. and found that ET200M module with address 5 is faulty

in properties it is mentioned as,

module configured but not available

preset/actual mismatch

inserted and configured modules are not the same

expected type dp slave 6SE7 153-1AA03-0XB0

but the curent module is the same as the expected one with the address 5

i have checked the profibus cable and to confirm it, 

i replaced it with new cable but the fault is still same, i replaced new dp connectors too but nothing happened

help would be appreciated

Because its flashing you must check address of profibus (DIP switch on ET200) and check status of terminal resistor at network .Have you implemented hardware (ٍElectrical cabinet) and S7 HW configuration information? for example( ET200M order number and other module in the rack)

the problem was solved..

as per your advices, i have checked the resistors, i have replaced the ET200M module, configured the network and also downloaded a new program but the fault was same..

so i started replacing all the DI,DO,AI slaves in the rack and found that the digital output slave from the ET200M module was internally damaged, once i replaced the DO module, the fault disappeared..

i cross checked it again by swapping it with another DO of another slave and the fault shifted, so i confirmed that the fault is with the DO
