Hello,

We are implementing Unified in our factory at the moment. We are going to use UMC to connect to our active directory for user management.

At the moment we use an app called 'DUO' to generate a pin code when we log in for example through VPN. 

Is it possible to have the same security for logging in to the web client? For example we use our standard credentials, and after that we need to enter a pin from DUO or google authenticator.

I could not find any documentation on this subject on the web.

Hi YAVR,

WinCC Unified doesn't have dual or multi factor authentication options. There is a User Management Component (UMC) that comes with WinCC (TIA Portal) and can be configured to do user management in a more centralized capacity. You can also password protect projects if desired. You can find information on this in the TIA Portal help section.

It seems that the documentation for UMC is not available online, it is only provided with the software. According to the manual, 2FA is supported. More information can be found in chapter 4.2.3.8 of the "UMC Installation Manual" and in chapter 9.2 of the "UMC Web UI User Manual".
